So upset and confused

Ds loves his mainstream school but hasn't been coping for a while now. Just been given an EHCP and a place at a SN school. Its what I wanted and what he needs so why am I so upset? It's his last week in school and I haven't stopped crying. I had a baby 6 weeks ago so hormones aren't exactly helping. Someone talk some sense into me!

It sounds like a sensible move. Just because it makes sense, doesn't mean you can't be upset. It's natural. It's the end of another stage and it all feels too much sometimes. Your hormones may well be playing a part in things. Hope it all works out well.

Thank you, you're right it's the end of another stage and definitely is feeling too much. I just feel sad that he isn't having the life I imagined for him, like the other kids in his class. I know I'm being ridiculous. I guess I'm worried about his future. It's been a really tough few years fighting for him so I feel like I should be happy we are at this point of moving to a school more suited for his needs but I'm feeling very overwhelmed.
