Does anybody have any experience of this school that they could share please? Is it very SN? I’m hoping to see it soon but would really value some recent/current opinions please.

Most, but not all the pupils have an EHCP and they follow a differentiated mainstream curriculum. Many go on to achieve a range of GCSEs and other qualifications at KS4. There are a range of specialists on site, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists. Specialist teachers with SpLD qualifications and social and emotional specialists, not counsellors, who have various post-grad qualifications in ASD or play- based interventions. It's very boy heavy. Classes are small, 6-10 pupils, with LSA support.

Thanks so much, that’s very helpful. My child is autistic and capable of GCSEs but has anxiety around school so it sounds amazing. They say on the Good Schools Guide they are not specialist but a mainstream school. I imagine it’s very difficult to gain a place, even with an EHCP.

Does anyone have a child there - are they happy?

Egerton Rothesay are definitely a specialist school. No mainstream has 7/8ths of its pupils with EHCPs.
