DLA Tribunal

Hi can anyone point me in the direction of some good resources for a DLA tribunal please? All I've found is quite vague info.

For context my son is in mainstream primary and has a diagnosis of ASD, he has a blue badge, also has sensory processing issues and anxiety. No EHCP as yet. I've been advised by both an autism charity and my UC work coach he should be entitled to at least the lowest level of DLA, partially as me caring for him affects my ability to work more hours, but we've been through the appeal and mandatory reconsideration and they're still denying any DLA. I've just had a letter saying they've still not responded to my appeals so the tribunal is going ahead and to send them any evidence. All I have is the diagnosis paperwork from the private clinic as everything else going through school is still in process so no paperwork from cahms etc.

If anyone has any tips for what else I should send to the tribunal they'd be very gratefully received! Thank you.

Information from school may help. Do you have a copy of DS’s BB assessment? Have you been to the GP about anything?

Does DS attend any extra curricular clubs? If so, a statement for the coach/leader may help.

Have you looked at the Cerebra guide and Contact?

Have you applied for an EHCNA?

Thank you @Imitatingdory unfortunately I have nothing else at all except the ASD assessment report. School have given me a copy of his SEN plan but he functions very well at school, as he can mask following his peers and the routines suit him, so I don't think they'd be able to say much in support at all. I will look up the guide you mention thanks.

You can request a copy of DS’s BB assessment and medical records from the GP if you have discussed anything with them.
