DD has had academic difficulties at school for
a few years starting in year 1 she's now year 4 we paid for a private diagnostic assessment which was positive for dyslexia. Her ability tests for verbal were high average she cries and has melt downs doing homework and school work she's on working towards for everything expect PE and Art.

I've spent a long time trying to teach her to read she was on blue books last year and has just made free read which I'm immensely proud of. I'm also completing a master's so I don't have hours to spend teaching her every week. We have been considering sending her to private school for over a year which is very supportive with SEN children we aren't very rich but comfortable and live in an ex local authority house so I'm worried DD would be picked on for it.

I'm wondering whether to try some extra SEN tutoring or give up and send her to the private school I'm at my wit's end with it all , the school are trying but they can't devote much time to her with 30 other kids in the class.

Have you thought about applying for an EHCNA?
