Cupboard locks

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum.

Our DD is 8 and is on the pathway for an ASD assessment. We suspect PDA, SPD and OCD also, along with severe anxiety.

She has expressed several times that she wants us to kill her, she wants to kill herself and she wants to kill us (her parents).

As yet, she has not acted on any of these statements. However, we have been advised by the GP, CAMHS and the first response service to lock away all knives and sharp objects, medicines and cleaning supplies.

We have a lock box for knives, sharps and medicines.

Ideally I would like to keep bleach and toilet cleaner etc in one cupboard which would then be locked, but I'm struggling to find a lock that is study enough without having to actually drill a hole through the cupboard door to install a barrel lock.

Do any of you wise people have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.
