Hi so my son is 12 and in year 8. At the end of year 7 the school did some screening tests and found that he has severe visual processing issues but he scores very highly for other domains so could do well academically with the right support. He now wears tinted glasses but the Senco thinks he needs more support. He can't refer him to a specialist teacher or EP as he isn't in crisis. We have offered to pay for this to ensure my son is getting exactly the right support. However we have now idea how to access this and where to find the right person!! Anyone have experience in this? I would love some advice!!
Many thanks Catherine

It sounds like he might have Cerebral Visual Impairment. CVI Scotland have a lot of information about this.
