school following EHCP?

The problem I see: is the school can't cope with my child. Expert reports were done and submitted for EHCP. County strip out the important bits, due to cost. Are the school following EHCP? Possibly! No wonder the school can't cope with my child, the important bits, due to cost were taken out.

A vague and woolly EHCP isn’t worth the paper it is written on. If the EHCP is vague and woolly and section F doesn’t specify and quantify the necessary provision appeal.

Then if the EHCP is detailed, specific and quantified and the school don’t provide the provision you can enforce it, via Judicial Review if necessary.

How long ago was the EHCP issued and how old are the expert reports?

Finalised EHCP not issued during pandemic, still in Draft. Commissioned two expert reports, Summer 21.

DS's very important, main area of need is SALT.

Following a telecon with Teacher, dated 6/1/22

Following a telecon dated Head, dated 13/1/22

They were able to tell me someone from the SALT team had been to see DS but could not tell me a date or whether it was the Assistant or Therapist. They could not tell me about the homework for us parents as mentioned in the minutes below:

The minutes from CIN meeting 19/10/21 received 10/1/22 We were all not able to view them in CIN meeting 14/12/21.

"Bridges between responsibility of school and SALT"

"Will link in with school re: working on impulsive behaviours. Asks to be kept updated on plans between school and SLT."

"Continue with SALT in school and ask for exercises for parents to repeat at home."

A "Current Objectives" Plan dated 19/10/21 was sent home and received 14/1/22 is this the " exercises for parents to repeat at home."?

I am really disappointed that there does not seem to be a coordinated approach to DS's main area of need.

I look forward to hearing from you,

From your other thread the amended EHCP was only a month ago. Even outside of the pandemic wanting it finalised within that time is asking a lot of the LA. The statutory timescale is 8 weeks.

If it is DS’s primary need does he not already have SALT in the EHCP, even if it is out of date?

As I said on your other thread I think you a) need some support in real life, and b) need to explain more information if you want people to help you.
