I am doing an research assignment on problems in education and solutions

The problen being ALN in mainstream.
The solution being flexible and adaptable classrooms and furniture, to replace traditonal furniture and layout. For example, adjustable colouful desks, different types of seating, AI assisted technologies and mobile smartboards.
Any feedback, pros, cons or thoughts would be greatfully recieved thankyou

depends on sensory needs of SEN child, bright colours be them desk/chair/decor on walls can prove to be overstimulating to child.

Maybe check out SEN Schools, main stream schools with a Base. They will detail the type of learning the kids do. But it al depends of the child’s needs. If it’s basic every day such as cleaning teeth by themselves one aspect of their day will include this.

In SEN schools only certain areas of a class are used to promote kids work, even then it can cause issues if one piece of work falls and isn’t out exactly where it was!

The 'problem' with this question is that you seem to be suggesting that "ALN" is one thing.
There are SO MANY different needs. Even within those with a diagnosed need (and keep in mind there are so many children with additional needs that don't have a medical diagnosis), there are so many ways the same diagnosis can impact upon different children.

I think you need to focus in on a group of children with similar needs, so you can begin to understand what barriers they have to learning, before you can begin to think about finding a solution.
