ADHD coaching - has anyone tried this?

Hi, my DD (older teenager) has been diagnosed with ADHD in December 2020. She is very bright + able academically but is struggling hugely with organisation / executive functioning. Since finding out more about ADHD I've started to think I have a lot of these traits too, which makes it so hard to create the stable, predictable routine and help her with these issues. I've looked into ADHD coaching. I'm not against coaching, and think it can be really helpful if you find the right coach.

BUT I've been involved in another MN thread which has uncovered some worrying stuff about 'high ticket coaching' which has made me wary of providers offering this. I wondered if anyone has experience of ADHD coaching either for your child or as a parent, and whether this was helpful (and worth the high price?).

Good / bad / indifferent experiences + recommendations would all be appreciated.

Thank you 😊

Try getting in contact with the ADHD Foundation. They should be able to offer advice.
