Hi, I hope it's ok to post this here. I am a long time mumsnetter but have name changed for this :)

Im currently studying for a Master's degree in autism with Birmingham University and as part of my dissertation I am conducting a study on the views of girls on the autism spectrum who mask/camouflage in school. As a parent with a daughter on the autism spectrum, this study was inspired by the experiences my own daughter has had over the years at school.

I am looking for female participants who have a formal diagnosis and attend a mainstream secondary school in England in years 8-11 to take part in an anonymous online survey.

The link to my survey is -

Thank you for reading :)

relevant if they attend independent mainstream?

Absolutely! Any type of mainstream provision is welcome. Its only special schools that aren't included.

Attends SEN school everyone thinks she is autistic and we are waiting for the final NHS assessment. She masks very well
