St Edward’s Cheltenham - thoughts

Name change for this one.

We are looking for a suitable school for my two DC with SEN (Dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD). We are currently in a very small prep but need to relocate to Cheltenham soon.

We had planned for them to start at another independent school however, after spending a taster day with them and completing the assessments, our application has been turned down as they do not have the resources to give them the 1-2-1 time they need.

I get it but I feel upset for them, honestly. In one respect we read in the news that organisations like GCHQ actively recruiting individuals with dyslexia yet the provision and attitude for SEN doesn’t seem to have moved forward in 30 years.

Anyway, rant over, we need to find a suitable school for them in or around Cheltenham (has to be Cheltenham) and wonder what St Edward’s learning support is like? Would welcome recommendations for other suitable schools too.

You are not a million miles from Bredon which is really worth a look.

How did you get on wideawakeandconfused? We’re in a similar situation, seeking a prep school for our two daughters with a few SpLDs in Cheltenham. Did you try Bredon?

Bellisima234, what’s Bredon like, from your experience?

Thanks
