Carers allowance

Can you claim this if you have a job or do you have to quit your job in order to claim it? I have an 18 year old who has ASD and I am a single parent. This year has been hell. She went to uni for a bit but tried to kill herself and dropped out and moved back home. After a lot of work she got PIP though we had to appeal. I do feel like her carer- she is bright but has very poor executive function and can't do chores etc. So I do all her laundry etc (please don't criticise me for this, if I didn't do it, it would not get done). She has a number of health conditions and I have to do all the paperwork for this too. So I do feel like her carer in all honesty. Thanks

You can claim carer's allowance whilst working as long as you earn less than £128pw after tax, NI and expenses.
