Noise cancelling earphones - misophonia and misokinesia

Hi all.

My child has been diagnosed with misophonia and misokinesia. We are in the process of sorting exam arrangements for our child to be able to wear earphones at GCSE (it is their only coping method), however the school are unsure if JCQ will grant her permission to wear them.

I have found this article which outlines a school in Manchester enabled pupils to wear earphones/headphones for GCSE exams. I had hoped to have got in touch with them to assist us by guiding my child's school but they have closed down. I wish I could find a way of contacting the staff who worked there to help us.

Is anyone here going through the same process as us? If so, has your child been granted earphones for their sensory symptoms in their final exams? How are they implementing it - is it playing from an ipod or iPad? Any information you have will be really helpful, we are extremely desperate.

Thanks in advance.
