My daughter is 8 and is about to have the final meeting where the professionals meet to give the diagnosis of dyslexia. Unfortunately, we have this lockdown so it has been placed on hold. I have been told by teachers that the assessment they complete by the Learning Support Team is a basic assessment and a private assessment goes into far more depth. Is this true? What would a more in depth one consist of?
