Vision therapy prescribed by behavioural optometrist

Anyone else's ds had or is having this?

Long story short, my ds has been prescribed the HTS iNet vision therapy course to try to improve his visual processing which is affected by a lazy eye. He had surgery a few years ago which was partially successful, and has been prescribed therapy and prism glasses.

It would be useful to hear about other's experiences.

My son had great experience with vision therapy for eye issues - having a lazy eye meant that his eyes were unable to work efficiently together so he was having issues with saccadic movement - eyes missing words when reading/ copying from board and textbooks etc. Also helped his hand eye/ hand/ foot coordination and he could bowl a ball straight/ swim straight and ride a bike on a straight line without falling off for the first time. He had treatment from age 11.5-13

That's great to hear Lara, what a relief that must have been.

Strangely, my ds has no problems with hand/eye coordination, but does struggles with copying and reading stamina.

Did your ds use the HTS iNet programme?

No we did not use that program sorry.
