Team Around the Family meeting - what to expect?

Anyone done one of those meetings? DS has adhd and meds are not working (side effects are just too big). Lots of unwanted behaviours in class + a crappy teacher = disaster at school. No safeguarding issue though.
Not sure what to expect and how to prepare. Any tips? It is quite impressive the number of people attending!! I have three kids and although only one is sen, the three teachers will be there (+ sendco, + deputy head + early help). It is worse than an interview!!!

They're meant to be there for you...so it's not an interview and you should look at this as a way to get the support your son needs.

Has he a learning support person in class? What you should do is decide what YOU want for your son and what the Team can do for you and him.

If for example you think he should have a learning support assistant for himself, then ask them about that.

If you want help finding him better medication...ask about that.

Tell them about what you currently do to support him so they can get a clear picture of his life at home.
