Hi all, my ds (10) has dislexia which affects him on his working memory and processing (I think that is the right word), that manifest is poor writing in terms of organising ideas on paper, using correct punctuation, spellings etc
He is very bright in maths etc etc
We work a lot with him, the school has been supportive but I wanted to know of anyone using some software that helps them with the writing and organising their ideas.
I have seen some that give start of sentences , etc
Any ideas an recommendations very welcome.
As an aside since he has used a Cat Speller app his spelling has improved a lot, as he is very keen practicing “spelling games” hence I thought that a similar thing might work with the writing.
Thanks

I have just used MS word with spell and grammer checks, but if you go to the british dyslexia assocition they have ariouse suggestions I think one is called Nessy. Some are designed for young children some more adult. For spelling, Alpha to Omega, Word quest and although it is dull Attack, all helped.

Docs plus can give writing support if someone enters the vocabulary into the word bank. Docs plus offers text to speech and speeh to text. There are lots of mindmap building apps if you want more note taking. I use Dragon Naturally Speaking as I dictate but there are lots of options out there
