At wit's end about DS who has had a horrific time since starting secondary. He's spent most days this term in detention due to school policy on "low level disruption", eg shouting out, fidgeting, being silly.

School now want to apply for EHCP but son is saying he never ever wants to go back there. ☹️

Has anyone had any success with an ADHD private school? We're in Northamptonshire but tbh I'll consider moving if that's what it takes.

We tried More House but they're not willing to accept him. This is due to defiant behaviour when he melts down and him running away from school in the past once after a meltdown.

My daughter goes here after a terrible time in mainstream for a term last sept.
She has ADHD best thing I ever done.
It’s such a great school small classes of 7/8.
Most of the kids have either ADHD or autism.
Good luck with finding a school.

I understood TBap school were for students with serious behavioural problems.
Some call them 'pre-prisions'.

That’s what I thought as well.
When I went to look around the head told me Tbap academy is a group of 12 schools 10 being for serious behaviour problems.
The other 2 one in st neots and one wisbeach are more for adhd, autism etc.
She said they won’t take anyone with serious behaviour problems.
My daughter has been at st neots since last Easter and is so happy it really has been the making of her.

I'm glad she is at the St. Neots one and not the one I know!!
