Edinburgh advice on school choice

I have an 8-year old who is currently in the English education system going into Year 4 (P4).

We are looking to move back to Edinburgh in a couple of years (we have property in the Gillespie’s catchment) but are unsure which schools would suit him as he has mild inattentive ADD. He’s not currently on the SEN register but we are considering it. However we’re worried this will affect our choice of schools in Edinburgh.

Does anyone have advice on education in Edinburgh? All advice would be welcome!! (We’re happy to consider state or private at this point)

Thank you

could you have a look at Ema primary? it's a montessori school based in Edinburgh. They seem to be good at accommodating mild special needs. they are also working on a Sibelius for high school students, so that could be an option for secondary education when that time comes x
