Anyone with knowledge / experience of Alderwasley? Considering for dD, 14.

We looked at Alderwasley for ds1 a long time ago (five years) so my knowledge is not current.

Had a lovely location but a bit remote unless you live in the Peak district.

Therapeutic side looked great. Occupational therapy and speech therapy integral. Academic was OK but we felt did not really cater sufficiently well for the more academically able.

At the time they had a very good reputation so could pick their choice of pupils i.e. those with not too challenging behaviour. I notice they are paying for adverts on mumsnet so might be less popular now.

It was our number two choice of the schools we looked at but in the end we went for a different school.
