Hi all

My DS has had a Movement ABC assessment today. We are trying to work out his overall score. The OT didn't tell us. Does anyone know how the scoring works?

We know his % for the 3 different areas but not the raw score or how to convert this in to the final %, can anyone help?

He got-
Manual dexterity- 2nd percentile
Aiming and catching- 36th percentile
Balance - 2nd percentile

Last time he got
Manual - 6
Aiming - 36th
Balance -4
And came out 9th

Thanks

Perhaps, you should ask for his scores? I asked the OT to send it to us by email and she did. (not private)

I never got the scoring at all from DD2's assessment (mind you it took 8 bloody months of me and the school SENCO ringing them up to get any bloody report back at all but that's another rant)!

I just got a "highly indicative of a DCD diagnosis" - confirmed and signed off as such from paeds.

DD2 had just thought the whole assessment to be tremendous bloody fun!

My child is 9th percentile. I was told by his OT that below 5th they refer for a dyspraxia diagnosis from a paediatrician. 6-15th are at risk of motor difficulties. Is your child going to have OT going forward?
