Does anyone’s child use Colourful Semantics at home or school? My sons speech and language therapist has advised this and I’m wondering if anyone else has heard/used this approach?

I've been introduced to it for my 4;5 year old daughter and have found it really helpful so far, Im considering going on the official training as they are soon to release a parent course which should help me use it with her at home more successfully. She is doing so well using it in school and I can really notice the difference in her sentence length and clarity even.

I know other parents who swear by it, for their children as its really helped their literacy skills too. I think the author is Alison Bryan who developed the approach and these guys offer the official training - see link.

It's really good, I use it with most of my class but wish I had discovered it when my dd was younger

There is enough info on the website to have a go and having done the training recently we were advised that it's better to have a go and get it 60% right than not do it at all

Oh that's great to know. Has anyone else started using it in the home setting, aside from school, who could share experience with me?
