School and Pullups (plus Bladder procedure)

Two things to ask advice on today -

  1. Just met with school and they are asking for our 9 year old DS to go back into pullups rather than pads due to a couple of leaking accidents recently and frequency of loo use (4 times an hour sometimes). We are just about to ask for an EHCP assessment so need to balance using pullups (he will just sit and wee in them and not bother with loo, not ideal) with his education - he is very behind for lots of reasons and this getting up and down to the loo may well have an impact. Don't want LA to say they don't need to address his genuine med needs (such as TA helping him drink and reminding him to toilet and change).
  1. He is going to have a procedure at hospital sometime soon where they insert tube (cathetar I think) up willy and fill bladder whilst doing scan to see what's happening. Anyone have experience of this and anything you think we need to know? Will be done under gas and air and consultant says high success rate (i.e. very few times - may 1 % - they have to abandon procedure due to distress, and is uncomfy rather than painful).

1st time we have had an invasive procedure done so am a little nervous as to how he will cope and whether it will be stressful for all of us.
