Dear All help please from the SEN community . I am at my wits end . My DD soon to be 15 is in year 10 only just got her diagnosis of ASD which has taken 3 years due to CAMHS cuts in our area .
Not that high functioning as has many ass learning difficulties and social problems . She's also dyslexic but can read well , write to a good standard. The SEN provision at his school is poor. In our area as all the cuts have been ridiculous and they are struggling with the amount of SEN they have.

We feel that school is detrimental now for her mental health as her increasing anxiety is having a bad effect on her .
We are looking at I GCSE s . Has anyone found these work or are a good idea in this situation ?
Any help or advice appreciated

My dd (asd and home educated from day one) does igcses via an online school. She did English Language last year aged 13 and got an 8! She is doing a couple more this year and the remainder the year after. Splitting them up has really worked for her as it reduces the panic levels...

My dd did igcses through an online provider and used her old school as an exam centre -we had to fight to get this in her EHCP though as school was opposed

Exam centres can be an issue for igcses depending on what area you are in so worth checking before you start down the path
