Has anyone managed to get this via their surgery, on NHS? I’ve been informed I need to pay at Pharmacy as no medical need from their point of view.

Dd can’t tolerate nasal spray but ok with injections

Thanks x

I'm sure the pharmacy won't be authorised to administer to children but there will not be a NHS supply at the practice that would cover your child. You may need to consider going to a private clinic.

Thank you. I just checked and they don’t offer to under 18s either!

I’ll speak to GP again I think and see.

Unless they have a prescribed condition they won't be able to get it for free - a private gp near here is doing Saturday clinics for £15, I'm sure they are not alone

I don’t mind paying, but finding it tricky to find anyone who will do it. Perhaps it’s not ideal for children? Going to speak to GP again.

Do children with asthma have the injection?
