Sen code k for secondary school

hi my daughter is starting secondary school next week and I’ve just seen on the school app she is down as Sen code k. Does anyone know what this means? Will she get a bit of extra help?

Hi. Secondary SENCO here. K stands for SEN support and doesn't necessarily mean your daughter will get any additional help in terms of a teaching assistant etc. It is Dependant on her area of need and her individual ability. However she will be on the schools Sen register so all teaching staff will be aware of her SEN needs and will be provided with an IEP or general strategies to support her.
