Have had last SEND meeting a few days ago, the teacher gave us a plan of provision for next year.

I have sat down with a cup of tea and a calculator and just totted up the hours and its the same as this academic year despite having an extra 2 grand to spend which they asked our local authority for (had to prove already spending 6k from school finance).

As far as I an see, they have moved things around and chopped 45 mins off one activity to do something else.

I know what they asked for money wise and what for (2 things, one of them appears nowhere on the map for next year) and I have the paperwork - there was a bit I had to fill in so I asked to have copy of the whole application.

I am really loathe - after a year of this sort of thing i.e. what is on paper is not what happens IRL - to go into battle yet again by email/meeting to challenge. I just want this year to end and look forward to the holidays.

On the other hand if they are doing this for a couple of kids with SEND in each class, in each year then that's a lot of public money swilling around school unaccounted for.

The whole thing makes me really uncomfortable. Whether its 2 grand or 25 grand, they should be transparent and accountable.

WWYD?
