School vision assessment

Hi, we are currently wait for diagnostic assessment for dd re dyslexia. Has anyone had a school vision assessment done at opticians? Was it helpful?

I haven't had one, but they can be very useful. Dyslexic students often have Irlen syndrome, where essentially looking through different coloured glass helps their brains to process better.
You can then find the correct coloured overlays to use in schools to help aid reading. You can even buy funky glasses that are tinted, and last time I looked they weren't extortionate.
