Hi my son has extreme anxiety about doing PE , he has been medically signed off from doing the subject and the school have a letter from CAMHS confirming this .

However the school still have my child in the lesson with a stop watch stating that because my child has not got changed into there pe kit and are not doing the activity he is not doing pe . My child feels very anxious as he feels singled out to look stupid for being the only student in the pe area fully clothed timing his peers and is constantly worried that he is going to be made to do things .
The school say that legally he has to do two hours a week pe with or with out medical exemption and has to be in the pe area yet it the being in the pe environment which sets of his anxiety. He was badly treated in a previous school bullied to the point that he had to leave as it made him ill . Is this right can they do this any advice will be appreciated xxxx

No it isn't right. They're treating him like he's just off games with a twisted ankle and clearly have no concept about his mental welfare. Your title is senco? Presumably this Ian your issue?
