DS is 5 1/2 and in yr1. He has always had poor motor skills and has bred slightly delayed with all his milestones. He was under the SALT for a while. His handwriting is terrible and his class teacher has been giving us extra handwriting practice at home along with core strength exercises. He also struggles socially. She had put all these issues down to being summer born.
This week there is a specialist of some sort coming into school (teacher didn't know her exact job title). She was going to ask her to spend time with DS and help with suggestions to improve his handwriting. Except now the specialist has asked for details of DS's birth. Does anyone know why this would be? I haven't had a chance to speak to the teacher yet.
