Hello!
I'm new to this mums net forum. I am in quite a difficult situation. I have a son who is 10 and has ASD. He currently has an EHC. We live in kirklees but today found out that the landlords are looking to sell the property we rent and have given us an 8 we notice. The problem we have is that we can only move once and this move will hopefully be the final one for us. My son is heading to secondary school Sept 2019. I 1ould like to move into the area where he will be able to attend school from.year 6 to have some familiar faces to go up with. The problem I have is that he need's to be in a resourcedifferent provision unit within a mainstream setting. These are hard to come by and even harder to find a good secondary school. Please can someine advise me as to a good school in the Leeds or Bradford districts. Decisions need to be made in the coming by weeks! Thank's for listening! :)

First of all, can you clarify what you mean by "We can only move once"?

Sorry yes... we can't afford to move to a place where we are to for him to.finish year 5 then move again to another area for year 6 in August. Not sure if he can switch schools this late in the year.

Again, I don't quite understand. You can't afford to move again but OP...I'm a renter too and sometimes we just don't get the choice as you're aware.

My advice to you is to move to the area where your preffered high school is and deal with the issue of primary then.

Once you have a new address it will all seem easier...
