Hi, My son is now a school refuser. He is in year 7. he is quite bright so our local SN school have said they would not take him as they could not meet his academic needs.

IF I asked this community where is the best school in the UK for high functioning/aspergers kids who are academic, what would you say?

We can move anywhere so are trying to treat this as a chance for a fresh exciting new start..... better than the awful day to day life we are all living at the moment

Where do you live now? We moved from rural East Sussex to Surrey to get a diagnosis & better sen support for my kids. Best thing I ever did. Does your son have an EHCP? My youngest was supported mainstream with her EHCP. My eldest was only dx a few months ago at 18, because she refused to be assessed when we moved here. Also, have you thought about home educating? Education is compulsory, school isn't!

Hi, thanks for your message. We have enrolled him with inter high.com which starts in a week. It sounds perfect but I worry that with no physical interaction he will disappear down a rabbit hole of relationships via screen ...We are about to get an EHCP or should I say start the process. I am learning a lot about other ways of educating you child...x

You could try Blossom House or More House.
