Hi

We have a mediation session booked for our sons EHCP. The current plan funds some ABA at home, but moving forwards he starts school full-time next year, and we want section F of the plan to specifically say he gets one to one ABA support at school via a learning support assistant. The local authority is not agreeing to put ABA support in section F.
I have managed to get a copy of an EHCP from a friend who lives 1 mile away, and her son has ASD as well but comes under a different authority. His plan clearly states ABA support in school full time. What I would like to know is would I be able to use his plan as evidence at the mediation session. Obviously, I would blank his name out.

Thanks
Mez

Short answer is no.

The panel is only interested in evidence of your child's need, not another child. Ah appeal tribunal would also refuse to accept it in evidence.
