Bedding for ds

I hope this is the right place to post this...I don't know if there will be an answer for this but here goes..
Ds always sleeps with the covers over his head (started from a fear of mosquitoes). In the summer, he wants a blanket (fleece type) on his skin, then a light duvet but with a fan on!
I keep taking the fan out of his room and telling him he's not allowed to use it, but he keeps dragging it back in there.
He's very adamant about having the blanket and says everything else is uncomfortable.
We're in Australia so it's soon going to be very hot! Can anyone think of a solution? Thank you!

Could it be the noise of the fan he likes? Why don't you want him having that?

I'm also in Oz...so know how hot it gets in summer. All I can think is that he could sleep in just his undies and once he's drifted off, you could remove the top cover and the fleece and replace with a sheet?

Hi, thanks for replying. It could be the noise I suppose. It just seems so illogical to me.
I've told him to take his PJ's off, but he won't do that either.
I guess it's just the wasted electricity. I won't mind so much in the summer, as it really will be hot (Qld) but last night it wasn't hot at all. It's only started in the last few days as we did have one warm night.

Oh and we tend to go to sleep around the same time. He's nearly 14.
