I need to find an educational psychologist for my 10 yr old. Very long story but have spoken to SOS SEN who have advised this as I need to reapply for an ehcp and need this as evidence amongst other things. I'm currently trying to find someone but Iv noticed every one does things differently. I found MPA in Brighton and they charge just under £500 and it's all done in one trip. Consultation, then assess ds, I go back in room for consultation. Lasts 3-4 hours. No school visit. One other person who wants to charge over £1200 (!!) goes to visit him in school. I obviously see the pros and cons in both. I just wondered what am I looking for in a 'good' ed pys?! I'd rather they didn't go into his school to be honest but I wonder is that a problem in itself?
Any experience/advice I would be very greatful.
