Best route for ADD diagnosis?

I'm looking into getting my 7.5 DS diagnosed with what I suspect is ADD or similar. Confused about the best place to start - Educational Psychologist assessment or Clinical psychologist or pediatrician? These would be private and as there will be a waiting list I am also going to the GP too to get the wheels in motion there too. Thanks so much for any heads up

ADD is a medical diagnosis so you would have to go via GP to a paediatrician
