Advice on what to expect, please?

My ten year old dd is dyslexic and the Senco has said that she's being tested and that there may be something else as well as the dyslexia.

I am just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on what to expect, please?

DD has always been quite 'quirky', individual, very emotional, likes doing things her own way, hates taking instruction or being told what to do, thinks she knows everything and is an expert in everything!

She is lovely, beautiful and amazing, but also very challenging.

DD finds it very hard to concentrate and is easily distracted, unless the subject at hand is something she is really into.

I've wondered for ages what may be the 'problem' and once we got the diagnosis for dyslexia I kind of 'hung my hat' on that. But now it seems this does not necessarily explain all her issues.

Not sure what I am asking exactly, perhaps just some hand holding but I just do not know!

Any advice very welcome, please.
