How long would you wait for.......

How long would you wait for an appointment with an Educational Psychologist?before chasing up appointment and/or complaining????

First requested in April during annual review(for statement of special educational needs)by various professionals and parents
In July LEA demanded the request in writing??but the statement notes are in writing are they not??or is this just a delay tactic by the LEA??
We are nearly in October and still have heard nothing......
Advice on what you would do please...

At the momemt we are having to wait 18 months for a referal to the Ed Psych for children who have emotional/behavioural disorder. Worth asking what is happeneing though

who is makeing the referal for the ed phcolegest? maybe get the scool,doctor or whom ever else is involved to push it up with a letter, it seems to be a long wate for every one though, wich upsets me cos it takes so long wich is valuble time for the childs learning that is being wasted. if i was you i wood push it as much as you can, it will alredy be half tearm agen in a copple of weeks! iam going through the same.GOOD LUCK.
