Hi,
I have a 3.5 year old child with autism and we are giving ABA therapy to him. Could someone please name some schools in and around Birmingham (specifically central) who accepts ABA for reception?
School should come under Birmingham city council.
You can also PM me.
Thanks in advance.

Philomena

Have you contacted the CAT team- they would be able to advise you. I'm afraid I do not know of any.
Are you providing the therapist?

@HanSolo - could you please give me an expansion for CAT team?
Yes. We would provide the tutors for school if they accept ABA.

Sorry- Communication and Autism Team, they're based at the Jaffray centre in Erdington (or were...) -303 1792
Lesley Baker is head of the team.

Do you want to PM me about which part of the city you're in? I could let you know which schools have SEN resource bases or units attached that specialise in ASD- I'd have thought they'd be most likely to help.

Also- if you post on SEN Chat, there's at least one poster on there in Bham, with children that have autism. They would probably have more experience/advice Smile
