Helping 9yo dd not to get lost!

DD1 hasn't got any diagnosis (actually I suspect she might not get one even if she were assessed) but I think she is mildly dyspraxic and has some Aspergers traits. She does very well at school however and is happy and has friends there.

She's in year 4 and I am only now realising how difficult she finds it to navigate her way around the school. She really doesn't know her way around and worries about getting lost. This isn't a huge problem for now, but I am worried that the transition to secondary school may be very stressful for her.

So... I was wondering whether there are any tips for helping a child to develop a sense of direction and to learn how to find their way around?
