CAF/TAC - Not Working For Us & Thinking Of Dropping It - Possible Reprecussions ???

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or experience as regards ending a CAF of perhaps changing the lead professional??

Situation is that DD has EDS & a CAF was suggested to help with that, I was initially not sure as the School Nurse presumed she would take the LP role & I wasnt impresssed by her at all, lets just say I picked up very quickly that she is a "smooszer" who tries to charm, but does little else & I'm really not finding that its of much help to us at all, if anything its had the opposite effect & I'm getting sick of it, especially as I have now been told that the school & LPs get paid for it - is that correct ??

bar having notes all on one set of paperwork that can hopefully help DD help get into our preferred high school, I'm finding it a complete waste of time.

Lots talked about, little happens - actually nothing happens unless I chase it & info they have meant to have been gathering for me, has taken months & I've ended up doing it for myself anyway, which once I have the correct information, takes me a few minutes, information I have to find for myself, often things they should actually know about, but if they do, they arent being very forth coming at all

I feel I've made the mistake of trusting their "its about supporting you, to help DD" all that does so far is mean I have relaxed & taken them at their word, meaning DD has been let down quite badly several times, as unless I still do it myself, it doesnt actually happen,so what actually is the point Hmm

I also feel its a lot more about pushing me to keep DD in school, whether or not she is really well enough to be there, something because of incidents in school, which have left her ill, I no longer intend to be as compliant with as its not in DDs best interest, I have our GPs backing on that. Recently I'm also hearing some real horror stories from other parents where their CAF has been used to the ends that DV has been implied in meetings as a reason for their DCs behavioural problems, when bullying in school has actually been the cause Shock, so lots of quizzing DCs & nosey knickers tactics involved, that are transparent as hell - meeting here at home as SN was passing - mmm, DD now having "nurture room chats" with a particular staff member, because I complained of her anxiety been made worse by the relentless exam pressure this year, it was even suggested that DD goes in for breakfast club & they could arrange it for free, even though we don't qualify - No idea what that is about, but not interested at all.

We've nothing to hide, so no worries, but it still leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.

What I think is going to be the final straw, is that I had to cancel a CAF meeting last week that was to take part with DDs teachers as well the usual staff present, I was very ill & really had no choice, not ideal as there had been some problems that needed addressing badly, no one knew the complete picture bar me as I'd only partly discussed it with the HT & SN rarely replies to messages even if I and tried to pass info on to her - this week in passing the HT told me that they'd had the meeting anyway - more by way of letting me know things were getting done to resolve issues with info not filtering down the line to those that needed it to help DD.

I emailed the SN & asked for my copy of the minutes from the meeting, to be told "oh that didn't happen on the day if the meeting, so it wasn't the CAF the other staff were all there, so we just called them all in for an informal chat - which is complete rubbish - I already knew it was on the same day & timeHmm she couldn't even get DDs name rightAngry & counter acted my request for info, with a reminder for me to provide a heat pad for the school office - something I have already discussed with office staff & they have & don't need from me &'this has been said at the last 2 meetings - they've also apparently made the next appointment time, without my even been asked if it suits meHmm I could go into detail, but I will be here all day.

So, questions - would you advise dropping the SN as the LP or dropping the CAF entirely ??

What could be the complications or repercussions of me doing this

Can the School refuse to provide the support needed for DD - its minimal TBH

TIA
