My son is in his last year of primary school, he is autistic (social communication disorder) and has a a statement, he has a good group of friends at school and joins in well in the playground. In the classroom he needs lot's of support and is at a level of a 6 year old. I was given 2 options for secondary school, St Phillips ( special school), or Richard Challoner - which is also a catholic school, i am not! But it does specialise in kids with asd. I would prefer him to go to a mainstream school so am swaying towards R Challoner. I have made up my mind and changed it many times! Has anyone had any experience with R Challoner?
This has been the toughest decision of my life!
