is my son dyslexic

Hi im struggling to come to terms with the educational system in dealing with my son. I have been trying to tell them that he has learning difficulties and struggling with his reading and writing since primary one he is now in primary five. He is being taught as though he has dyslexia but not been diagnosed. is there any advice anyone could give me and anymore i could be doing?

I don't know what primary five is - how old is he? What exactly do you mean by ' He is being taught as though he has dyslexia' as this can mean different things depending on the school and their knowledge of SEN. Has he had any type of assessment?
