SENCOs - Exam Concessions?

I have been googling this morning trying to find out about concessions for AS exams as my DSs last certificate has run out. He should be allowed to have extra time, a reader and use of a laptop as he did for GCSEs. My question is .. I know that specialist teachers can carry out this assessment but I can't find a recent list of what qualifications they should have and I don't want to ask school at the moment. How long do these tests take?
Any help gratefully appreciated.

You could try contacting JCQ direct or look at the website to find out.

There was a thread not so long ago on this and basically if a laptop is the established way of the child working then no formal assessment is required. Will try to find it as it also linked to the regulations.

yes that's right - no formal assessment necessary for laptop anymore but should be usual way of working
will need assessing for extra time and reader though

is this a private school?

goinggetstough · 12/01/2011 18:52

Yes Corns it is a private school. I have now found the list of relevant specialist qualifications on JCQ.
Thanks for all your help.
