ADHD - school problems

My ds started secondary school in September.

He has been receiving detentions most weekds during break times for talking in class and not paying attention

Also, I am really struggling with homework with him.

Does anyone have any advice on how I should speak with the school. His time at Juniors was undiagnosed and he became known as naughty and me as anxious

Have you applied for him to be assessed?

Do the school know about his ADHD? If so they have to make reasonable adjustment for his needs. I would contact his form tutor or Senco to discuss his difficulties.

1leg you can refer him via your GP for a formal assessment of ADHD (or have you already got one?, wasn't clear in the OP) ......... ?

Why do you think he has ADHD?
