How would I go about setting up a support group?

MY ds has recently been diagnosed with

Sensory Integration dysfunction

Tactile defensiveness

Dyspraxia.

He has already been diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, Hyposapdias, hypermobility syndrome, severe allergies, asthma and excezma and migraines.

My question is this, he wants to meet other children with SI i have searched for a local group and the one nearest to us is a 3 hour drive away. I don't mind doing it but the children won't be in the local community.

How would i go about starting up my own support group for children with SI? I want to involve the children maybe just meeting once a month on a saturday and doing activities for the children, rather than parents meeting weekily and leaving the children at home IYKWIM.

We already belong gto ASBAH and go to the fun days there and ds loves the fat he is not the only child with Hydrocephalus. I think this would help him no end to understand what SI means for him.

TIA.

Parent Partnership might be able to email an invite to everyone on their list.
