Hi my Son has expressed an interest in applying for a role with a big company, I can see immediately it would be competitive. He would be amazing at interview, and at the job. Very smart, streetwise and focused. However he would need support and pointers for the application process, school will help but I'd like to equip myself to also support - can anyone give me any help please? He really does have a lot to offer, cadets, part time job, musical but all in an organic way not primed for this purpose so I feel they have been really meaningful experiences.

You are right that DA jobs are highly competitive. I assume your son is v motivated to apply, in that case he needs to research the hell out of the company, the job and the application/interview process. There are a lot of resources available online he can draw on.

If you have any contacts in a related field you could ask them for advice.

Good luck.

Thank you, felt a bit overwhelmed by helping him but some good advice and a starting point there! Thanks
