23rd December Xmas market - too late?

Hi there, just wanted to ask for your opinions! I have a (very) small craft business (handmade jewellery, xmas decs etc) and as per the title, I'm in two minds whether to go ahead and book the stall I've been offered.

The Christmas fair is in a lovely venue, but this particular one is on the 23rd Dec (which is a Monday this year). It's also £20 for a stall which isn't bad really, but I'm a bit strapped for cash so I just can't seem to make up my mind whether it's worth the punt or not! I haven't seen it advertised very much, under 300 people interested on their FB event.

What are your thoughts? Would you go for it?

Do customers have to pay to get into the event?
At that stage, I'd love a crafty browse and might buy stuff but paying in would be too serious for me so close to Christmas. By then I would have bought everything and just be on the look out for extras.

No entry fee for customers as far as I'm aware! I also thought it might be people buying last minute bits :)

My view is it's too late for the Christmas rush of gift buying. It will be a strange timing too as I think many people will be taking the Monday and Tuesday off from work to visit family.

IME the main people who buy last minute are not the type to visit a craft fair - they are more the 'dash into Boots, M&S or the nearest jewellers ' and grab what's on the nearest shelf.

It's still a funny old economy for craft fairs with purchasing power still depressed. I personally wouldn't bother, especially if I was finding £20 hard to find

The 23rd December is still a normal working day for most people, so unless it was in a popular (ie tourist)location, I would avoid.
