So I have a website but have not done SEOs has anyone had this done for them by a company for a reasonable price? Have you found it helped with business?

How much would you expect to pay someone for this?

I have a Wordpress website.

Depends on what you sell/want to promote, is it unique with very specific keywords (ex: homemade vanilla-flavoured gluten-free marzipan) or a broad topic (ex: female clothing)?

What do you sell?

Hi, I'm an SEO copywriter and happy to answer your questions. SEO is a wide field and it usually takes a few weeks/ months depending on the content to rank. Can you tell me what business you're in and what your goals are? Have you already set up Google Analytics ( a bit of a pain but crucial)?

I’ve been in the same boat with my WordPress site. I decided to get some SEO work done and was surprised at how much it helped my traffic. I ended up working with a company that offered a fair price and saw real improvements in my site’s performance.

I also had a chat with Paul Gordon paulgordonseo.co.uk, and his advice was spot on. He recommended focusing on key areas without going overboard with costs. Prices can vary, but starting around a few hundred dollars for basic services seems reasonable. It’s definitely worth considering if you’re looking to boost your online presence.

I understand where you're coming from with SEO; it sometimes feels like a never-ending puzzle. When I started diving into it, I found that focusing on quality content was a game changer. You want to create something useful for your audience, which will naturally help your rankings.
Also, remember technical SEO services! Your website's foundation is like that, and if it's shaky, your efforts might not pay off. Make sure your website loads quickly and is mobile-friendly. Proper headings and alt tags for images can help, too.
Monitoring analytics helps you understand what's working and what's not. Be bold and adjust your strategy based on that info. Remember, SEO is a marathon, not a sprint.

Time-sensitive projects are handled well with Guestpost.ing one-month turnaround. They keep to their schedule, so I don’t have to worry about delays. For anyone with deadlines and SEO goals, their punctuality and professionalism stand out in a competitive field.

I have a Wordpress website.

Grab yourself a Wordpress SEO plugin, they're ridiculously easy and after using one mine went to #1 on Google Search within 2 weeks.

Hey! Just wanted to jump in here as I’ve been helping lots of small business owners with this exact thing.

I run a children's clothing brand and after years of doing SEO myself (with some great success), I created a really accessible SEO eBook designed specifically for small business owners who don’t have a big budget for agencies or don’t know where to start. It’s especially great for people using platforms like WordPress, Shopify, etc.

I also run a Facebook group that goes hand-in-hand with the ebook. It’s full of support, deep-dive videos, and a really friendly community of people on the same journey. A lot of the members were in the exact same boat - they had websites but no SEO, and now they’re starting to see proper results without paying thousands to an agency.

To answer your question about cost - getting an agency to do SEO can range anywhere from £300 to £2,000+ a month, depending on what’s included. But if you’re just starting out, you don’t need to spend that. With the right guidance, you can do most of the groundwork yourself - and honestly, you’ll learn a lot along the way which makes everything else easier too.

Happy to answer any questions if you’re curious. No hard sell - just here to help!
