Any HR consultants willing to mentor me?…

I have gone through lists of people on LinkedIn but have no idea where to start and who to message so I thought why not come the place where I’ve received so much help to date.

I’m looking to set up my own HR consultancy and would love to have a mentor to guide me/show me the ropes.

I don’t want to out myself on here too much but I’m a qualified Employment Lawyer at a top firm and am also L5 CIPD qualified.

Over the past few months through word of mouth, I have managed to help 2/3 start ups/SMEs with their HR work and actually enjoy it…I know there is a lot to learn on the HR side and I am willing. I know some might say make a career move but the difficulty is I can’t afford to go down the ranks to a lower paying HR role.

Not to sound weird or anything but also happy to discuss how we can make this mutually benefitting.

Thank you!

I am not the right person to mentor you but wanted to suggest joining Daniel Barnett’s HR Inner Circle? The name is very cringe inducing but there are a lot of HR consultants there who may be able to help.

Again, I’m not your person but I’m also in the process of starting a consultancy business though in a different field, if you’d like a partner for accountability and support in the early months?

@EchoAlpha , I have just come across your thread and would be very interested to have a conversation with you. Please do let me know if you are still considering the above?

If you are a member of the CIPD some branches offer a free mentoring scheme where you can be paired with an HR or L & D mentor to support other members.
